About Our Community Programs

Read, Right & Run Marathon

The Read, Right & Run Marathon (RRRM) is a fully integrated marathon program for children in grades K-5 that focuses on literacy, fitness and character development. During the 26-week program, students are challenged to READ 26 books, perform 26 good deeds to do the RIGHT thing and RUN 26.2 miles. Every student receives an activity journal to record books read, deeds done, and miles run. After 26 weeks of hard work, the program culminates each year when the students run their final 1.2 miles at GO! St.Louis’ annual Family Fitness Day in Forest Park. Read, Right, & Run is open to all public and private schools, youth organizations, and home-schooled families in the St. Louis bi-state area.

Students on the GO!

Students on the GO! prepares high school students for the annual GO! St. Louis Half Marathon or 10K in April. Students follow a 20-week training program implemented by their teachers along with the GO! Staff of experts. The program engages students to experience goal-setting, discipline, teamwork, improved health and a feeling of accomplishment in a positive environment. Committed students earn the proper equipment: running shoes, race day technical shirt, and, upon completion, a medal and finisher’s jacket. Throughout their journey, GO! St. Louis supports participating students with motivational advice, nutrition tips and training tools. Students on the GO! is open to all public and private high schools in the St. Louis bi-state area.
